Press release of 2022 February 17th

Launched in 2017 by the Art In Haut-Bugey Association, the International Street Art Festival of Oyonnax welcomes a wide variety of international artists each year who, for 3 days, create artworks on the ground and on boards.

On the occasion of the last edition, more than 5 000 visitors were able to admire the creation of real artworks, each more impressive than the other.

To Make art accessible, promote universal values, amaze young all generations of people, while demanding a very high artistic level ; these are the values of the Festival.

This is also a tourist and economic project allowing, in its own way, to promote the assets of Oyonnax, more largely of Haut-Bugey district, thus beyond the French borders.

Nevertheless, this project essentially relies on the involvement and energy of a handful of volunteers. Also, the Art In Haut-Bugey Association wants to be a real laboratory of innovative ideas whose purpose is none other than "transmission".

Thus, it seems natural that the City of Oyonnax, major partner since the first edition, can take in charge the organization of this event which has become essential.

The year 2022, therefore, marks a turning point in the life of the Festival.

After 2 years of absence due to the pandemic crisis, the 4th edition of the International Street Art Festival of Oyonnax will come back on 2022 June 17th, 18th & 19th.

The City of Oyonnax, now the main organizer of the Festival, will be able to count on the Art In Haut-Bugey Association, which remains by its side to support it in this transmission, to ensure the relationships with the artists and to work so that the values of the Festival be taken even further and higher.
